Right on time, my followup email.
Hi Andrea
Awesome call today! We came up with new ideas like
- branding consultant
- learning/life skills center
- career/pre-college coaching
- creative experience camp/classes
- virtual assistant
- craft seller
- counselor volunteer
I love that you have clarity about what you know is not a fit as well as 80% confidence that your best fit is among the options we’ve identified so far!
Here is the link to Michael Port’s free chapters. There’s one on branding which is great.

I remember that…maybe it was the coaching call pump but I don’t feel as confident today (Feb 27th) that I’ve already found my future. Not to discount anything above, just that I still want room to explore.
As for the homework, it’s Feb 27th and I’ve spent the last 2+ weeks typing my little fingers off to get everything we’ve done back to early December posted and pre-scheduled and ready to go. I actually made myself a little sick with anxiety wanting it DONE DONE DONE.
It’s done (as soon as I hit “schedule” for this post). Saints be praised, this is the last of the past-due posts and from here on out I can post as we go and make it a bit more personable and a lot less rote accounting of events. I have to say I’m happy with how the blog has turned out and interested in seeing where this process goes with whatever audience decides to attend (thank you Carrie Rubin and jmmcdowell for pumping me up consistently along the way… sanity savers!) 🙂
My pleasure. And thanks for the mention. I’ve always wondered how these life coaching experiences go, so it’s nice to see someone working her way through it.
To me, it’s amazing what simple, positive encouragement can do for us. I’ve benefited immensely through the years just from someone saying “good for you for going after it.” I wish it wasn’t so difficult for some people to be positive toward others. It may seem simplistic, but I honestly think the world would be a lot better place if we offered more support and kindness and less self-centeredness and anger.
Thanks from me, also, for the mention. 🙂
You’re welcome. Yes, it’s definitely nice to hear it. Sometimes it takes an objective semi-stranger to say “what you did was great” because those closest just shrug or automatically devalue. I’m weird though, I also benefit from people telling me clearly what a mess I’ve made. Hahahaha
